About the Book
Playful and full of reveries, the distinctive features of Arpita Singh’s art have also proved to be the subversive agents of the clever pictorial universe that she has elaborated over the last four decades. This book highlights the playful impulse that has been her way of negotiating the changes of female subjectivity even as it is a superior trick for confronting the complexities of the world on her own terms.
