John Ernst Steinbeck Jr. was a famous American writer. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1962. He has written 27 books during his writing carrier, including sixteen fiction, six non-fiction and two short stories collections. The Pulitzer Prize winner The Graps of Wrath (1939) is considered his masterpiece and an integral part of the American literary canon.
