As kids, we’re always taught the downside to ‘tit for tat’—it’s always better to forgive and forget, right? But what if there are troublemakers and they’re tormenting you just for the fun of it?

Sheelavati and Jayasheel’s only precious possession is a cow. So when Jayasheel falls ill, they are left with no option but to sell the cow. When Sheelavati is on her way to the market to sell the cow, four goons see this as an opportunity to create mischief. Not one to take things lying down, Jayasheel might just have some tricks up his sleeve to teach the ruffians a lesson.

Written in classic Sudha Murty style, Magic in the Air is another one of her witty tales that entertain yet drive home an important message. Read on to find out how Jayasheel outsmarts the hooligans
