Aditi Krishnakumar greatly enjoyed sports and once outswam a porpoise. She later had a chequered career that included working as a pet food taster. In her downtime, she enjoys long-distance running and partying with her friends on Friday nights. Just kidding. It's all fiction, just like her books. She won the Scholastic Asian Book Award in 2016.

Tanu Shree Singh is an Assistant Professor in Psychology. She completed her studies in Positive Psychology, a relatively new and promising branch of psychology devoted to cultivating contented, happy, fulfilling lives. She is the author of Keep Calm and Mommy On, DK Indian Icons: CV Raman and has contributed to the anthologies Flipped and I'd rather read.

Swati Sengupta is an author and gender rights educator. Her books include Guns On My Red Earth, Half the Field Is Mine, Out of War, the Incredible Life series of biographies for young readers, Murder in the City (translation), The Talking Bird and A Tea Garden Party.

Shruthi Rao has a master's degree in energy engineering, and worked in the IT industry before she started writing. She is the author of 10 Indian Women Who Were the First to Do What They Did, 20 Indians Who Changed the World, Susie Will Not Speak, Manya Learns to Roar, The Secret Garden, Avani and the Pea Plant, among others.

Lesley D. Biswas grew up in McCluskiegunj, and dreamed of playing cricket. But instead of a bat, she ended up with a pen in her hand. Currently based in Kolkata, she's a freelance writer who enjoys writing children's stories the most. She's also passionate about nature, gardening and bird photography.

Dr Devika Rangachari is an award-winning children's writer whose book, Queen of Ice, was on the White Raven list, won the Neev Young Adult Book Award. She is also a historian who has conducted post-doctoral research on gender in early medieval Indian history.

Lubaina Bandukwala has been in children's publishing as a writer, editor and festival curator for a decade. She founded the Peek A Book Literature Festival for children's, which is now in its fourth year. She does all this so that she can read all the books she wants anytime she pleases and say she's working.

Hannah Lalhlanpuii is a PhD research scholar in Mizoram University. Her area of interest lies in postcolonial studies, trauma writing and children's literature. Her poems and short stories have been published locally in Mizoram. Apart from creative writing, she also works as a freelance writer for English news outlets in the state. Hannah is currently living with her family in Aizawl, Mizoram.
